One day,
our hands will open.

The world will call it loss.

But what if,
before that day,
we learned to open them ourselves?

To let go
before we are made to.

To give,
while we still have.

To release,
while we still can hold.

The strange joy
of watching something leave our hands
not as a loss,

but as a gift.

**Death will take it all eventually.
Life gives us the choice
to give it away with joy.**
